Understanding the “rules of the road” is key when dealing with ediscovery. While there are state rules and decisions that can be instructive, much of the development of ediscovery law has taken place in the federal system with the revisions to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and case law from courts with significant experience dealing with electronically stored information (ESI). Several key federal rules play crucial roles in guiding the process, and this course addresses key aspects of those rules practitioners should be aware of.s.
